CES 2027
CES is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, and despite the name it is not a consumer event. CTA’s own registration terms state plainly that “CES is not open to the general public,” describing it as a trade-only event for individuals 18 years of age or older and associated with the consumer technology industry. The floor is press, buyers, distributors, investors, engineers and channel partners.
It is not one building
The Las Vegas Convention Center is the anchor, not the extent. CTA’s own attendee materials reference venues spread across the city, including Venetian Expo, ARIA, Mandalay Bay, Westgate, the Cosmopolitan, Fontainebleau, Park MGM, Wynn and Encore. Exhibitors should treat campus choice as a real decision rather than a formality, because the audience walking one campus is not the audience walking another and traffic does not distribute evenly across a show this dispersed.
The exhibitor base runs the width of the industry: components and semiconductors, vehicle technology, digital health, smart home, accessories, displays and AI infrastructure, alongside national and regional pavilions and a startup section. Costs and lead times are among the highest of any US show, and Las Vegas hotel and labor rates during CES week are their own budget line.
