About ShowFloor.TV
ShowFloor.TV covers the businesses that exhibit at conventions in and around Los Angeles. Not the keynote speakers, not the attendance figures — the companies who paid for floor space and have three days to make it back.
Why this beat
Trade press covers industries. Event press covers events. Almost nobody covers the exhibitors themselves, which is strange, because they are the reason the hall is full. A 20-by-20 booth at a mid-size show runs into five figures once you count space, build, freight, drayage and staff time. Thousands of businesses make that bet every year in this city, and the decision is mostly made on instinct and hearsay.
We write for two audiences at once. If you exhibit, we want the coverage to be useful before you commit budget. If you attend, we want you to walk the floor knowing which stands are worth your time.
What we publish
- Show previews — what a given floor is actually like, who exhibits there, and what tends to work.
- Exhibitor profiles — who a company is, what they make, and where to find them.
- Post-show reporting — what happened, and whose bet paid off.
- A convention directory — dates, venues and links for every show we track.
How we work
Our convention listings are built from venue calendars and organiser announcements, and we correct them as schedules move. Exhibitor profiles are compiled from public company information. Where a company confirms its booth assignment with us, we publish it; where it has not, we leave the field empty rather than guess.
We are Los Angeles-first because that is the floor we can actually walk. Coverage of shows we have not attended is labelled as a preview, not a review.
Get in touch
Pitches, corrections and booth confirmations are all welcome — see the contact page. If you want to reach our readers commercially, the advertising page explains how that works and where the line sits.
