Editorial standards
This page exists so you can judge our coverage against a stated standard rather than taking it on trust.
Sourcing
Convention dates, venues and official links come from the venue’s own calendar or the organiser. Company facts — founding year, headquarters, what a business makes — come from the company’s own material or established public record. We do not present unverified detail as fact.
Previews versus reviews
A preview is written before the show and describes what a floor is generally like. A review or report is written after we have attended. We label which is which, and we do not write in the past tense about a show we have not walked.
Booth numbers and attendance
We publish a booth number only when the exhibitor or organiser has confirmed it. An empty booth field means we do not know it yet — not that the company is absent. Attendance figures are attributed to whoever published them, because organisers and independent auditors frequently disagree.
Commercial separation
Advertisers and sponsors get no influence over editorial coverage, and paying for placement does not buy a profile or a favourable mention. Anything commercial is labelled as such. If we ever accept travel, badges or hosting from an organiser, that will be disclosed in the piece.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date. We do not quietly edit away errors.
Logos and images
Company logos and event artwork are reproduced to identify the business or show being written about. If you own a mark and want its use here changed or removed, contact us and we will act on it.
