The NAMM Show is the music products industry’s annual gathering, and by exhibitor count it is one of the largest trade shows on the West Coast. NAMM puts the 2027 figure at more than 4,400 brands.

Who exhibits

  • Instrument manufacturers — guitars, drums, keyboards, orchestral and band instruments.
  • Pro audio and live sound — consoles, monitors, microphones, amplification.
  • Entertainment technology — lighting, staging, rigging and control systems.
  • Recording and production — interfaces, software, studio hardware.
  • Accessories and consumables, plus the distributors and reps who connect brands to retail.

The structure is unusual

Events run 26–30 January but the exhibit floor is only open 28–30. The first two days are education, awards and industry programming, which means a badge does not automatically equal floor time — plan accordingly.

Why it matters to exhibitors

This is where retail buying decisions for the year get made. Dealers arrive with budgets, and the show doubles as the industry’s de facto press launch window: new gear announced here gets covered by the trade and enthusiast media simultaneously.

Getting there

The Anaheim Convention Center is the largest convention venue on the West Coast, at 800 W Katella Avenue, next to the Disneyland Resort. It is roughly 45 minutes from Downtown LA without traffic, and considerably more with it.
