D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026

D23 2026 builds a destination for Disney collectors

Exclusive stores, limited collaborations and a remarkable Disney Experiences auction make shopping a major part of the 2026 fan journey.

At D23 2026, shopping is not being treated as a break between experiences. It is one of the experiences. Disney is building a network of stores, collections, previews and rare-object encounters designed for fans who understand the stories behind what they collect.

The retail program spans The Walt Disney Company Store, its dedicated Pin Store, the central D23 Marketplace and Pin Store, The Disney Store and Mickey’s of Glendale. Together, those destinations turn the Anaheim Convention Center into a temporary retail city with different specialties and reasons to explore.

An official collection built for the event

The Walt Disney Company Store will feature the official D23 2026 collection and announced collaborations from RSVLTS, Spirit Jersey, Nike and Loungefly. A collection developed with the Walt Disney Archives draws inspiration from Walt Disney’s Suite 3H office in Burbank, connecting new merchandise to a place where generations of creative work began.

That archival connection is an important design choice. Event merchandise becomes more compelling when it carries a specific story rather than relying only on a logo and date. For collectors, context is part of the object’s value.

Mickey’s of Glendale expands its presence

Mickey’s of Glendale returns with a new store experience devoted to the worlds of Disney Parks and Walt Disney Imagineering. The store gives fans a chance to encounter products connected to the design culture behind attractions, environments and guest experiences.

Elsewhere on the floor, participating brands will bring D23-exclusive merchandise and first-to-market releases across apparel, accessories, books, records, pins and collectibles. The breadth allows visitors to shop by story, product type and collecting tradition rather than following a single retail path.

Rare and remarkable finds

A major 2026 addition is The Disney Experiences Auction – Rare and Remarkable Finds. Visitors can preview auction items throughout the weekend in an immersive showroom before the auction on Sunday, August 16. D23 says the program includes props, artwork and themed objects connected to Disney Parks, Resorts and ships.

The showroom makes provenance visible. Instead of encountering a rare object only through a listing, visitors can see how it relates to a physical environment and the creative work behind it. A related shopping area will offer limited-quantity props, artwork and themed items.

Retail operations become part of the story

High-interest merchandise requires thoughtful operations. D23 is using virtual queues for select shopping experiences, along with mobile checkout in applicable locations. Those systems help fans organize their day while giving each retail destination a clearer rhythm.

Visitors should use the Disney D23 app for current queue instructions, review purchase limits before committing time and photograph complete product information for anything they want to research later. Select event merchandise is also scheduled to become available through DisneyStore.com after the event, while supplies last.

Why this retail floor matters

D23 demonstrates how merchandise can deepen an event rather than simply monetize it. The best products help fans remember a place, recognize a piece of creative history or carry a shared story into daily life. When the object and the experience reinforce one another, the store becomes another form of storytelling.
