D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is preparing its largest show floor in event history, turning the Anaheim Convention Center into a three-day environment where Disney stories can be entered, explored and experienced at full scale.

Running August 14–16, 2026, the event brings together the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, streaming, parks, consumer products and the Walt Disney Archives. For visitors, the scale promises an unusually concentrated weekend of discovery. For the people who design live experiences, it is a showcase of how familiar stories become physical environments.

One floor, many Disney worlds

The announced lineup gives each major destination a distinct reason to visit. Marvel Studios’ TVA Experience: A New Assignment invites fans into a new mission. The Lucasfilm pavilion creates a gathering place for stories and filmmakers from a galaxy far, far away. Disney+ and Hulu are bringing their worlds together in a signature 4D theater, while the Walt Disney Archives will open a window into materials fans rarely get to see.

Disney Experiences and Walt Disney Imagineering will look forward through the Imagineering: Horizons pavilion. Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios are joining forces for an animation experience that includes a celebration of Pixar’s 40th anniversary, artist demonstrations, signings and interactive displays tied to current and upcoming films.

Immersion works when the visitor has a role

The most exciting part of the plan is not simply the number of properties represented. It is the range of ways visitors can participate. A mission, demonstration, theater experience, archive encounter or conversation with a creative professional gives a fan something active to do inside a story.

That is the difference between a display and an experience. Strong environments give visitors a clear point of entry, an understandable action and a memory worth carrying into the rest of the event. D23’s expanded floor provides an opportunity to see those principles applied across entertainment, hospitality, retail and product design.

A living showcase for experiential teams

Behind every pavilion is a network of creative directors, producers, fabricators, technology partners, performers and guest-experience teams. Their work must support both spectacle and a demanding operational reality: high attendance, changing schedules, accessibility, photography, queue management and thousands of individual fan journeys.

That makes the D23 floor valuable far beyond a list of announcements. It is a working demonstration of how a large entertainment company organizes many brands into one coherent destination without making every experience feel the same.

How to explore the floor

Visitors will get the most from the weekend by treating the show floor as a collection of neighborhoods. Choose a small number of priority experiences, protect time for discoveries between them and use the official Disney D23 app for the current map, schedule and queue information. The app is also the authority for changes that happen during the weekend.

The scale may be unprecedented, but the best moments will still come down to a simple question: does the experience make a fan feel closer to the people, craft and stories they came to celebrate?
