Mundo Pixar: The D23 Experience will give visitors a special preview of a globally touring immersive exhibition—and a close look at how beloved screen stories can become destinations people enter together.

Presented by Disney Rewards Visa Cards from Chase, the experience is scheduled for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event at the Anaheim Convention Center, August 14–16. D23 says visitors will encounter life-size sets inspired by Pixar films, dedicated photo moments and a merchandise shop.

From a familiar frame to a physical place

Pixar stories are built through expressive environments as much as memorable characters. A bedroom, neighborhood, kitchen, city or imagined world can communicate emotion before anyone speaks. Mundo Pixar takes that visual language off the screen and rebuilds it at human scale.

That transformation creates a different relationship with the material. Visitors are no longer watching a character move through a space; they are choosing where to stand, what to notice and how to frame their own memory inside it.

A preview with a larger journey ahead

The D23 edition is a preview of an exhibition designed to travel globally. Touring experiences have to preserve creative detail while adapting to different venues, audience patterns and operational requirements. That makes Mundo Pixar especially interesting from a show-floor perspective.

The environment must feel specific enough to reward devoted fans, intuitive enough for a first-time visitor and durable enough to welcome a high volume of guests. It also needs to communicate the same story across physical construction, lighting, sound, graphics, staffing and retail.

Photography becomes participation

Immersive exhibitions often succeed because they give visitors a role in making the final image. A life-size set offers more than a backdrop: it provides context, scale and a recognizable point of view. Friends and families can compose a moment together and leave with a photograph that already contains a story.

That shareable quality extends the exhibition beyond the convention center. The most effective photo moments remain visually connected to the experience even when they appear later in a social feed without an explanation.

Retail completes the experience

Mundo Pixar’s dedicated shop gives visitors a way to continue the encounter through a physical object. When retail is integrated thoughtfully, the merchandise feels like an extension of the environment rather than an unrelated exit corridor.

The strongest assortment will help visitors identify what they loved about the experience—a character, visual detail, place or emotion—and carry that connection forward. At a fan event, that connection can also introduce collectors to products they might not have encountered elsewhere on the floor.

What the sponsorship adds

Disney Rewards Visa Cards from Chase is attached to an experience built around access, memory and shared fandom. The sponsorship demonstrates how a financial-services brand can support a cultural destination by helping present the experience rather than interrupting it.

That relationship will be worth observing at D23: how clearly the presenting partner is integrated, what value it adds for visitors and how the sponsorship fits within the tone of the Pixar environment.

Why Mundo Pixar matters

Mundo Pixar sits at the intersection of exhibition design, touring entertainment, intellectual-property licensing, sponsorship and merchandise. D23 visitors will see the finished environment, but the larger story is the coordinated work required to make many creative and commercial disciplines feel like one coherent world.

That is exactly what makes immersive entertainment powerful. The best experiences do not ask visitors merely to look at a story. They give people space to step inside it.
