KCON pairs arena concert programming with a convention floor, and that combination creates an exhibitor environment with rules of its own. The audience is young, brand-literate, and there for the entire day.

Who exhibits

  • Beauty and skincare — Korean cosmetics brands, who effectively set the standard for this floor.
  • Food and beverage — snack, instant noodle and drinks brands running sampling at volume.
  • Entertainment and media — labels, streaming platforms and gaming companies.
  • Fashion, merchandise and collectibles, plus telecoms and financial sponsors buying reach.

Dwell time changes the brief

At a B2B show you have ninety seconds. Here attendees will happily spend twenty minutes in a queue if the payoff is worth photographing. That inverts the usual booth logic entirely — depth beats throughput, and a bottleneck is a feature rather than a fault.

The floor is a customer-acquisition channel dressed as a fan experience.

What the strong stands do

Sampling stations with staff who can actually explain the product. Photo moments designed for a phone held vertically. Packaging engineered to be carried around the hall, because a branded tote becomes advertising for the next six hours. And almost always a scan, a follow or a code at the end, because this is measured.

If you are attending

Convention floor and concert are separately ticketed in most years — check before you buy. The floor is at its calmest in the first ninety minutes and immediately during a headline set.

Getting there

The Los Angeles Convention Center sits at 1201 South Figueroa Street, next to L.A. Live and Crypto.com Arena in South Park. The closest rail is Pico station on Metro’s A and E lines, a short walk from the West Hall entrance. Onsite parking is paid and fills early on consumer-show days; the surrounding L.A. Live structures absorb the overflow.

The venue is midway through a major expansion, so hall assignments and entrances move more than usual. Check the organiser’s floor plan the week of the show rather than relying on last year’s.
